OUR STORY

Every Story Matters. Every Voice Inspires.

I Am a Superwoman® is a global movement dedicated to celebrating the strength, courage, resilience, and everyday impact of women and girls from every culture, generation, and community.

Inspired by the women who broke barriers throughout history, this movement exists to preserve their stories while encouraging today’s women to lead, mentor, serve, create, and inspire those who will follow.

We believe that every woman has a story worth sharing. Whether through acts of leadership, kindness, innovation, education, service, or perseverance, each story helps build stronger families, stronger communities, and a stronger future.

Together, we honor the women who came before us, celebrate those making a difference today, and encourage future generations to continue shaping a world filled with opportunity, hope, and purpose.

THE ORIGIN OF I AM A SUPERWOMAN®

A Collaboration That Became A Movement

FYVE STAR, Inc. has proudly served industry, government, communities, and charitable initiatives for more than 35 years.

In 2017, Sue Barbara Melke – Sydney, Australia introduced the concept that would eventually become I Am a Superwoman®.

Her vision, creativity, and belief in celebrating the strength and contributions of women became the foundation for a movement that continues today.

Over the years, Sue became an integral part of the extended FYVE STAR team, contributing to branding, communications, outreach, community initiatives, and the development of I Am a Superwoman®.

Today she continues to be recognized as the creative force behind the original concept and an important contributor to its legacy.

OUR JOURNEY

Inspired by Women's History

Inspired by the courage and determination of the women who shaped history, their legacy continues to encourage leadership, opportunity, and progress for future generations.

Educational Outreach

Through educational initiatives and community engagement, the movement encourages learning, leadership, and the preservation of stories that inspire positive change.

Community Awareness

Community events and outreach initiatives bring people together to celebrate achievements, encourage collaboration, and strengthen connections across generations.

Passport to Your Future

One of the movement’s signature educational initiatives, encouraging participants to create a Personal Bill of Rights that reflects their values, leadership, responsibility, and purpose.

A Global Movement

What began as a vision has grown into a welcoming community that celebrates women from every culture, generation, and background while inspiring a stronger future together.

Passport to Your Future

One of Our Signature Educational Initiatives

The Passport to Your Future encouraged participants to create and carry their own Personal Bill of Rights—a reminder of their values, leadership, personal responsibility, and commitment to living with purpose.

Created as one of the I Am a Superwoman® movement’s most memorable educational initiatives, it inspired individuals to believe in their potential, embrace their voice, and help build stronger communities for future generations.

What It Represents:

Values

Building a life guided by honesty, respect, and integrity.

Leadership

Leading through service, courage, and positive action.

Personal Responsibility

Taking ownership of your choices, goals, and future.

Purpose

Living intentionally while inspiring others to do the same.

FROM HISTORY TO POSSIBILITY

The women who came before us fought for opportunities many now take for granted.

  • They challenged barriers.
  • They expanded possibilities.
  • They opened doors.
  • Their work created the foundation upon which we stand today.

The question is:

What will we do with that foundation?

THE NEXT CHAPTER

I Am a Superwoman® is not simply about reflecting on the past.

It is about helping shape the future.

We believe women and girls possess extraordinary creativity, leadership, innovation, talent, and problem-solving abilities.

The next generation of progress will not be created by looking backward alone.

It will be created by encouraging women to bring forward ideas, solutions, opportunities, and initiatives that strengthen families, communities, businesses, and society.

A MOVEMENT FOR ACTION

The I Am a Superwoman® movement encourages women and girls to:

Lead

Become active participants in shaping communities.

Create

Develop ideas, businesses, projects, and opportunities.

WOMEN AND GIRLS IN 2026

The conversation surrounding women continues to evolve.

New opportunities exist.

New challenges exist.

New questions are being asked about education, careers, leadership, family, entrepreneurship, public service, and community involvement.

I Am a Superwoman® believes women should have the freedom, opportunity, support, and encouragement to pursue the paths that best reflect their talents, goals, and aspirations.

We are not focused on limiting possibilities.

We are focused on expanding them.

BRING YOUR IDEAS FORWARD

This movement is not built solely by its founders.

It is built by women who choose to participate.

Women who choose to lead.

Women who choose to create.

Women who choose to help build opportunities for future generations.

We invite:

  • Women
  • Girls
  • Educators
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Veterans
  • Community leaders
  • Volunteers
  • Innovators

to bring forward ideas that strengthen families, communities, and society.

The next chapter is still being written.

Help us write it.
